Hull Lib Dems want fair funding for parks - large and small - across the city.
We've been calling for action in West Hull with our campaign to repair the zip-wire and for the return of the aviary in Pickering Park.
And in East Hull we're fighting for investment in smaller neighbourhood parks - such as the play area off Lindengate Avenue - to ensure that all residents have access to safe, clean and well-maintained green spaces.
Residents keep telling us that local parks and green spaces are important to them. We want fair funding so that our fantastic city parks AND smaller local facilities all get the investment and support they deserve.
We think communities deserve to have safe and clean neighbourhood parks. That's why we proposed extra funding for parks and play areas at the Council's budget meeting in January.
Sadly, Labour councillors voted against our proposals - and continue to neglect the maintenance of small parks and play areas.
