On 8 December people living in Derringham ward will have the chance to drop in on the flood bus.
People visiting the flood bus will be able to share their experiences and get advice about flood risk, resilience and insurance.
The bus will visit two locations on Monday 8 December:
- 3pm-4:50pm: Car Park, Priory Centre, Priory Road
- 5:10pm-7pm: Springhead Golf Course Car Park
Experts from the Flood Risk Team, Drainage Engineers, Yorkshire Water and the Environment Agency will be on the bus.
Local councillors Cheryl Payne and Eliza Mann helped to organise the event after residents raised concerns.
Cheryl said: “Many residents in the area suffered damage from the 2007 floods and have from flooding again in recent years. I know that some people really start to panic whenever there is a heavy downfall.”
“Hopefully on the flood bus people will be able to share their experiences and concerns. Most importantly they will find out what they can do to increase flood resilience and risk.”
