Time to act on empty homes

In Hull over 2,700 properties have been deemed long-term vacant – and more than 140 homes in Hull have stood empty for ten years or more.

When so many people are without safe and stable accommodation this is unacceptable. Local councils should have greater powers and there needs to be better use of the tools available.

We think it’s time that more was done to tackle the scandal of empty homes in Hull. If you agree, then sign our petition below.

We call on Hull City Council to make better use of the tools available to bring empty homes back into use. The Government should also give local authorities more power to act.

It's time that more is done to tackle homelessness in Hull.
