Residents have told us that they have had enough of illegal encampments in our area.
We know that so many of you are frustrated that illegal encampments regular disrupt the use of our local parks and green spaces, along with concerns about associated antisocial behaviour, litter and fly-tipping.
There is a strict legal process that needs to be followed to move people on from any illegal encampment. While respecting that process, we feel that more needs to be done to improve the security of our parks and other 'hot-spot' locations.
That's why we are calling on the Council to invest more into improve signage, physical barriers and other measures to deter people from setting up illegal encampments in our area.
Please sign the petition if you want to see action against illegal encampments. Don't forget to subscribe to our email list so we can keep you updated on the campaign.
We call on the Council to increase funding for measures to deter people from setting up illegal encampments in West Hull, including improved signage, addition CCTV and more physical barriers to protect our parks and green spaces.
