Call for a pause in the sale of Newland Primary School buildings knocked back

Newland Ward councillor Mike Ross has spoken out against the decision of the Labour administration at Hull City Council to dismiss his appeal for the sale of the former Newland Primary School buildings to be suspended.  At Thursday's Full Council meeting Cllr Mike Ross and his Lib Dem colleagues called for the sale to be halted in order to allow discussions to take place between the council and an action group set up to turn the site into a 'community hub'.   At the meeting the ruling Labour group voted against this request.
